- Replaces 3,200 feet of water main line along W. Orchard Ave. between S.W. 7th St. and S.W. 11th St., and along SW. 9th St. between W. Orchard Ave. and W. Juniper Ave.
- Undersized lines will be replaced with 8-inch ductile iron pipe
- Tees, valves, hydrants, water service lines will be replaced
- Residents may need temporary water services during construction
WHY IT’S NEEDED
The project will eliminate failing, deteriorating lines, which minimizes future repair work. It also eliminates steel pipes from the 1920s and improves public safety be ensuring pipes include no lead.
