WHY IT’S NEEDED
Life station ventilation systems are extremely important to safeguard the lives of wastewater operators. Hydrogen sulfide gas is dangerous and corrosive, endangering life and shortening equipment life. The system should be replaced to protect workers and maximize the life of components of the lift station.

PROJECT MILESTONES
July 2020
Work has begun on this project, but due to Covid-19, sourcing qualified contractors has been a challenge. Work will continue in to Fiscal Year 2020-21.
January 2021
The ventilation project is completed along with a new air scrubber and piping, sheet metal work, and a new motor and fan.
