Installs a new 100-kilowatt generator
Will coordinate with new fuel tank (S 3.0) to minimize secondary impacts
Will be completed by two contractors

* Installation turned out to be less complex than originally assumed

WHY IT’S NEEDED

Backup generators at lift stations ensure uninterrupted service to sewer users and avoid overflows. The current generator is obsolete, and to avoid spills and environmental consequences, replacement is necessary.

Work has begun on this project, but due to Covid-19, sourcing qualified contractors has been a challenge. Work will continue in to Fiscal Year 2020-21.

Contractor finishes installation.
