Lift Station No. 4 Reconstruction

Lift Station No. 4.

DESCRIPTION

PROJECT ID: S 11.0
ESTIMATED COST: $600,000
ACTUAL COST: $858,527.37*
  • Includes well structure, pumps, ventilation system, internal piping, and electrical control system upgrades
  • Design will need to be analyzed during design and may require additional property for new pump chamber
  • Odor control system will need to be included

* Actual cost affected by inflation on electrical and control components and expansion for street resurfacing and reconstruction from the original project scope.

WHY IT’S NEEDED

Lift Station No. 4 was built in 1981 and the submersible duplex pump station has experienced corrosion on both metal and brick. Replacement of the wetwell will increase capacity, eliminate porous brick, and safeguard the environment. Ventilation of the structure is poor and electrical systems are nearing the end of their expected lives.
