- Replaces 3,800 feet of water mains on N. 1st Place between W. Hermiston Ave. and W. Elm St.
- Undersized line would be replaced with 12-inch ductile iron pipe
- Tees, valves, hydrants and water service lines will be replaced
- May require temporary water service during construction
WHY IT’S NEEDED
The project will eliminate failing, deteriorating lines, which minimizes future repair work. It also eliminates steel pipes from the 1920s and improves public safety by ensuring pipes include no lead.

Request for bids issued to procure piping ahead of construction contract award to ensure no supply-chain disruptions.

Work underway with minimal short-term service disruptions for local customers.
December 2023
Contractor completes major work items and begins punchlist.
January 2024
Punchlist complete.
