- Using relatively inert anodes connected to a power supply
- System will be suspended inside the reservoir, protecting reservoir from corrosion
WHY IT’S NEEDED
The Well No. 4 reservoir has been repainted four times since its construction due to rusting steel, which naturally reacts with water and oxygen. Cathodic protection extends the life of a steel water reservoir by providing a sacrificial anode within the reservoir.
