|PROJECT ID:||W 29.0|
- Installs new ductile iron and polyvinyl chloride water and sewer main lines along the alley between Main Street and Gladys Ave. from N. 1st Street to N. 3rd Street.
- Included as part of City Hall project to save cost during paving
The water and sewer lines along the alleyway are among the oldest lines in the city, likely installed in the early to mid-1900s. These lines are long past their design life. Existing sewer lines are unreinforced concrete and vitrified clay pipe and water lines are cast iron pipe, which does not meet current standards.
Utility replacement completed with connections made. Asphalt resurfacing of the alleyway to take place in conjunction with paving of new City Hall Parking Lot in late Spring.
Water and sewer mains replaced from Highway 395 to 2nd St.
Replacement of lines from 2nd St. to 3rd St. planned for 2022 in conjunction with parking lot paving for City Hall construction.
