- Installation of 44 new membrane filter cassettes at the water treatment plant
- Cassettes must be replaced every 10 years to meet Oregon Department of Environmental Quality permit requirements
- Annual deposits will be used to pay for cassettes when replacement is necessary

WHY IT’S NEEDED
Since cassette replacement is required as a single project, saving money annually will make sure funds are available when the $1 million purchase is needed. Cassette fouling could lead to operational issues and permit noncompliance.
